The Environmental Studies Institute (ESI) is a non-profit corporation (501(c)(3)) directed by Prof. W. Jackson Davis. ESI's charter mission is to conduct scientific research and public education on matters related to public policy (About ESI).

Incorporated in 1981, ESI continues to do ground-breaking research, development, and education on regional, national, and international issues ranging from radioactive waste dumping at sea and nuclear proliferation to climate, biodiversity, sustainable economies, and restoration ecology (About ESI, Activities, Publications).

ESI accepts contract work and contributions, and is a tax-exempt corporation registered in the State of California (California Corporation Number 1076154) and with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. All contributions to ESI are tax deductible (Contact ESI, Contribute to ESI).
